How it works

Representative24 is an AI assistant built for any kind of business.

It adapts to your automation goals and can work both as a Chatbot AI (to understand and answer customer questions) and as an Agentic AI (to actually take action inside your systems when needed).

In practice, you can think of Representative24 in two main layers:

Chatbot AI (RAG / non-agentic)

You create your “representative,” configure it, and load your knowledge sources: website content, files, internal documentation, or even read-only APIs.

In this mode, it can:

  • Interact with customers naturally, like a human agent
  • Understand the real intent behind the question
  • Pull from the information it has access to (knowledge base, policies, pricing, advanced FAQs)
  • Reply quickly with accurate, contextual answers

This is the advanced Q&A mode: the AI understands the request and returns reliable answers without needing a human from your team to jump in.

Agentic AI (it takes action)

Here, the representative doesn’t just answer → it acts

On top of everything in Chatbot AI mode, it can perform specific tasks inside your systems via API actions  For example:

  • Create or update a record in your CRM
  • Change stored data in a management system
  • Open a support ticket
  • Schedule or reschedule an appointment

In other words, this is where the AI becomes operational: the agent can execute real backend actions directly in your business processes.

Multiple Functions

Each agent – what we call a “representative” – can handle both the informational side (Chatbot AI) and the operational side (Agentic AI), without forcing you to clone it for every language or every channel.

That said, in some cases it’s smart to create more than one representative:

  1. if you’re covering very different functions (e.g. internal HR vs. B2C customer support),
  2. or if the instructions for different use cases might conflict.

Keeping roles separate prevents overloading a single agent with too many goals, improves accuracy, and keeps responses fast.
